A Pelosi-Murtha House? Maybe if this leftward shift continues in America, the South will try to secede again and we'll have a 2nd Civil War on our hands.
Part of me would be proud to fight in that war, but the other part knows that we would just be better off without them. Just let them go!

Yes, but who would win that Civil War this time? There was already overrepresentation of the South in the U.S. Military in 1860; it's grown only more pronounced in recent years.

The south isn't that bad. They balance you out, which makes this country great. A perfect medium.

The old left is now the center and the old right is now way the hell to the right. Republicans are saying that they weren't conservative enough in this previous election.

Actually, anonymous is right: this crop of Dems has shifted to the center. Murtha, for instance, is a conservative on most issues (gun control, abortion, etc.). He just happens to vociferously oppose the War in Iraq (now)(he supported it at first).
And Mike, please don't insult the rest of us bloggers by using as an excuse for your own "outlandish" opinions. It's bad form.

This is why I hate writing about politics. People take this stuff way too seriously. Isn't it obvious that saying something like "Go go Civil War in America!" isn't to be taken seriously? Heck, I'm not even writing about politics. I'm just saying stupid shit about a (unfortunately) touchy subject.
